Since finding out that I am pregnant, I have been having crazy vivid dreams! Some of them feels so real, as if I am standing in my own room and I can see exactly where my husband is and where everything is supposed to be in my room. Other dreams make me believe that it really did happen, like sending my husband out to get me spring rolls at the flea market down the street and anticipating to eat it... just to wake up to him sleeping next to me.
I was reading up about pregnancy and dreams and one website says that it's reflecting emotional state and also due interrupted sleep, allowing dreams to be more fresh in our mind. It also mentioned that some experts say that pregnancy dreams reflect your excitement, fear, and apprehension about the physical and emotional changes happening to you.
For the last few weeks, what I have been noticing is yes, I do have A LOT of interrupted sleep. I usually sleep like a rock through the night but now I find myself tossing and turning and feeling uncomfortable because it's either too hot, or too cold, or because of bladder pressure. Though my dreams aren't really about changes happening to me, I do have 2 common themes that occurs frequently. One is always about food. Not because I crave it, not at this moment, but I think it's because I'm hungry and I want to eat certain foods that I can't have. And the other one is, close your eyes if you're underage, scheming ways to pounce on my husband! It's not because the fear of sex while preggers, it's because it's Dr's orders [since I've been a light spotter]. We just want to be safe until it's all clear. So I guess one common theme to this is: not being able to have what you want. lol.
Any unusual dreams you remember while you were pregnant? Share! It may give me a peace of mind.
