Q's needing A's

I am so blessed to have friends, young and old, girls I barely talk or haven't seen in a long time, and those who I cling to like sisters. You guys have made this new begining so much easier for me, to know that we have something so significantly in common: motherhood. As much as I am dreading this 7 wks of pregnancy due to me, hate being sick, I do realize that God really does pour out His blessings on us ladies b/c of this awesome journey that only we can go thru.

Everyone has been so helpful to me, from my grandmom and mom fixing me up some Hmong chicken or egg soup to help with my nauseousness to girls I haven't talked to in ages hitting up my Facebook to encourage me. :) BIG thanks!

Here are some questions I have that you can help me answer! *Note: I am still a newly wed AND now a mom to be so ---> no question is a stupid question! Don't judge me!*

1. I get this icky taste in my mouth after I eat, even if it's the smallest thing like a piece of candy, how do I get rid of it without having to brush my teeth 341947392 times a day?!

2. Right now, I'm going through my baby sickness. My weekdays are fine b/c I'm home but my weekends are jammed pack [esp with weddings]!! What are some tips about eating on the go when I'm so picky with food?

3. What's your best rememdy to reduce headaches since taking over the counter drugs is not permitted? So far I've been using those old school asian sticker thingies on my temples, but they're STINKY and sometimes a bit too strong for me. What have you used?

4. What's the best system to get things done around the house while being sick [esp when it comes to cooking]? I'm so blessed to have my mom around b/c she's been cooking for me and my husband but there are days when she's so busy! I feel so helpless.

5.What's the best way to get your husband involved with the pregnancy? TMY is very excited but at the same time I think he feels out of the loop. Besides showing off baby's ultrasound pics on facebook and telling the world, he can't relate to my baby sickness and what I'll be experiencing.

6. What's the best maternity clothes without paying the maternity price for it? I'll be showing probably in the next few months and my biggest days are going to be winter days!

7. Everyone's giving me great advices for my body DURING pregnancy, what's your advice for my body AFTER pregnancy? What do I need to expect and what do I need to prepare for??

Can't wait to hear all of your responses!

  1. 6. Go to a second hand store for maternity clothes. Also try Gordmans. There is one next to Ulta across from Rosedale mall. They have a ton of maternity clothing there for cheap.

    7. Learn to live with your body. Don't expect that you'll be like everyone else and be able to lose all the weight. Trust me I know what it's like to not look like the previous me. Don't hate yourself. You'll still be beautiful regardless. Took me a long time to understand that part.
